Over the past 15 years, I have worked with many braille readers as part of my AT career. One of the greatest challenges has been finding a device that works well for people with reduced sensitivity in their fingertips due to calluses or medical conditions such as neuropathy. In my experience, Orbit Research’s TrueBraille cells, based on its patented Tactuator technology, are the only refreshable braille cells that some of my clients can read reliably.
